Payment
Mech Wars is a pay to play (P2P) service, and you are required to pay a monthly fee to play it. The first two weeks of Mech Wars, however, is free of charge. This is called the “trial period” and you can use this to see if you like the game. If you decide to continue playing, you are required to pay. (Please note that you will only get this trial period once.)
As already mentioned, the first two weeks are free of charge. The game will start counting these two weeks from the first time you login to Mech Wars. If you decide to continue playing the game, you are encouraged to start your payment as early as possible to prevent your account being locked between your trial period expiring and your payment being completed (off-line payment methods can take up to a week to complete).
To make the actual payment, you need to login to the account manager (see Logging In for details). After you have done that, you can click on the “Make Payment” link, and you will be taken to the Payment Selection screen. On this screen you must select how long you want to pay for:
1 month, or
3 months (1 season), or
12 months (4 seasons).
After you have made your selection, you will be taken to the screen where you do the actual payment. Here you select the payment method you wish to use, and any information that is required. We support a host of payment methods; both online (like VISA and MasterCard) and offline (such as bank transfer). For a complete list of the supported payment methods, as well as how much it costs to play Mech Wars, please consult the account manager.
When you have made a payment, you will see it on the account manager overview screen. Here you can see the progress of the transaction, and whether or not it was a success. Please note that we will not acknowledge the payment until your bank says it is okay — this may take seconds or it may take days, depending on a range of things.
